IfIS Masterclass in Implementation Science 2026
Implementation Science (ImpSci) verbessert und beschleunigt die Integration und Verbreitung von Forschungsergebnissen und evidenzbasierten Praktiken in die Gesundheitsversorgung. Sie konzentriert sich auch auf die De-Implementierung von geringwertiger Versorgung.
Ziel der Masterclass ist es, einen Überblick über die Theorien, Modelle, Frameworks, Designs, Methoden und Werkzeuge der ImpSci zu erhalten. Ein weiteres Ziel ist es, Wissen und Methoden der Implementation Science in Forschung und Praxis im Gesundheitswesen zu transferieren.
Die Teilnahme ist in zwei verschiedenen Tracks möglich:
- Einführung (Track 1, online):
- Einführung und praktische Anwendung (Track 2, online und Präsenz)

Course announcement: Advancing Health Equity in Learning Health Systems
How can healthcare systems be made more equitable—and what role do learning health systems play in this?
The course Advancing Health Equity in Learning Health Systems was developed collaboratively by students, faculty, researchers, experts, and patients to convey key concepts of health equity and apply them in practical settings. Building on the Learning Health Systems (LHS) approach, participants explore the underlying factors of health inequity and learn to identify, assess, and address them.
The focus includes the social, historical, and economic causes of health inequalities, methods for measurement and analysis (e.g., subgroup analyses), and practice-oriented approaches from implementation research. Particular emphasis is placed on community-centered and participatory methods, as well as on the development of strategies for knowledge translation for policy and practice.
Interactive formats, the incorporation of patient perspectives, and a practice-oriented critical design challenge enable participants to apply what they have learned directly to real-world problems.

Rolf Heusser, why are teaching and training offers part of Smarter Health Care's offerings?
To solve the complex problems in healthcare, it requires actors who are willing to engage in a fruitful Dialogue between research, practice, and politics. Future leaders and experts in public health should be prepared for these tasks through our continuing education activities. The teaching and training offers from Smarter Health Care aim to provide participants with skills and competencies to navigate the modern healthcare system, which is focused on integration and coordination.
Who is the target audience?
The offers are aimed at young researchers as well as young representatives from politics, practice, and patient groups. They are being prepared for potential future leadership roles in healthcare.
What are the offerings?
The offerings are based on the success of the Emerging Health Care Leaders EHCL program from the National Research Programme NRP 74 "Smarter Health Care". The proven skill trainings in leadership, communication, and knowledge transfer are continued and also offered to young leaders in healthcare. What are the benefits for participants from research, practice, and politics?
Participants acquire skills needed for leadership roles in healthcare. Additionally, they become members of an integrated practice and research community. This community is the ideal starting point for planning, organizing, and conducting projects in the field of health services research, leading to valuable results for the Swiss healthcare system.
